A
boat trip with the Pénichette
in Southern Burgundy gives you the
chance to discover the Canal du Centre,
next to famous Chalonnais vineyards
as Mercurey, Santenay or Montrachet.
The Saône and the Seille offer
many bathing opportunities. The Petite
Saône at Gray and the Canal du
Rhône au Rhin at Besançon
are beautiful waterways with only a
few locks. Going upstream the Canal
de Vosges in direction Fontenoy-le-Château
and Epinal, you pass the superb forests
of the Vosges.
- This
small village is known until today
as "capital of sailors".
The harbour, far wawy from the sea,
is astonishing. The vineyards Côtes
de Nuits and Côte de Beaune are
famous around the world. The rectangular
towers of the vineyard of Vouget outshine
one of the most famous vineyards of
the region.
- with its gallo-romanic past
and the old buildings, this city is
the international
centre of roman studies. The abbey
Saint-Philibert from the Merovingian
epoch is only one example of the extraordinary
roman art in Burgundy.
- Dating
from the 15th and 16th century, the
arcades and Facades
along the "Grand
Rue" offer a spectacle unique
in France. The Hospital "Hôtel-dieu" accomodates
an impressive ancient pharmacy. Another
particularity ist the "Atelier
d'imprimerie": Here you can visit
the last survivor of the ancient printing
artisanry of France.
- According
to the legend, the Doubs, father of
the Saône, had to pick
a husband of coequal beauty: the Rhône.
This beautiful couple gave birth to
a nice little river, the SEille. Indeed,
the Seille meanders its way passing
beautiful landscape and small, typical
villages, where it is pleasant to take
a rest.
- At
the edge of Franche-Comté,
the Saône reveals little by little
its rich legacy in the heart of the
countryside. In the east, the south
part of the Vosges massif gives you
an idea of the joys of the mountains.
- Its
navigable part flows through 200
km of a wild and charming
area. The
Canal du Rhône au Rhin, which
accompanies and extends the Doubs,
offers a varied navigation from still
waters to natural flows.
- Franche-Comté is fishermen's
paradise! In the deep lakes, rivers
and canals, there are plenty of trout,
carps, eels, pikes, pike perches, whitefishes
and even brown bullheads… The
local fishers communities, the departmental
federations and the tourism offices
will be pleased to give you all the
necessary information about it.
The
Canal du Centre, ideally located,
flows through the
vineyards of Chalonnais
and Beaune: Mercurey, Rully, Maranges
and Montrachet are just on the river
bank next to your Pénichette.
Chalon-sur-Saône
will not disappoint you. This burgundian
town is worth
stopping by for its history and its
gastronomy. Tournus, an old medieval
town whose picturesque beauty with
its Mediterranean influence leads you
to another world.
After Tournus you head for Seille.
It is going to be a real rural stroll.
This small and authentic river leads
you to Louhans among the many meanders
hiding lovely villages where it is
nice to moor. The river well known
amongst the local fishermen and skippers.
This is the reason why Locaboat decided
to settle its one way base at Loisy,
to welcome you in this particularly
protected environment. |
Good news:
Due to a new regulation, since 1st
July 2010 a boating license
is no longer required for our boats
in Poland!
|
Fishing in the Lagoon of Venice doesn't
require a fishing licence. For all
the rivers a fishing licence is required.
Ordering a fishing licence is complicated.
Please contact the base of Chioggia
